Parallels

If I had acted on every single impulse I have ever felt, things would be so different.
Lately, I've been wondering what that other life would be like.

Also, God forbid I ever get texting on my phone. Seriously.

All The Single Ladies

We stayed locked up in my bedroom until 2:30AM. Oh yes.

But in all seriousness, I love this consistent "girl time" we've been having. Granted, this was the first time all three of us have actually attended, but it's a start. Future plans include: tennis, shopping, eating, roadtripping.

In the air, on the length we lay

Our one-year anniversary was just. All over the place.

We spent the entire day together and did everything imaginable, from breakfasting to canoeing to train-riding to studying to shopping to film-viewing to yelling to making amends and ending the night on the highest, highest note possible. Thanks, Hoan.

Here's to one year.

Jessica and Ara

I met both of them in 8th grade, the year I moved to Austin. Our similar tastes in music were what brought Jessica and I together. Ara and I had the same Science class.

So from then until now, 6 years in total, I'd like to think we all grew up and grew old together. They were on the newspaper with me, Ara as my Co-Editor-in-Chief and Jessica as an amazing photographer, and this mutual affiliation brought us all a lot of good memories and good laughs. But that was high school.

Now, two years after graduation, I can feel that we're drifting apart. But that happens, right? Even to the best of friends, though I don't think that term really defines my relationship with either of them. They are two of the strongest links I have to my past, of high school, a time I really, really cherish, as cliche as that may sound. I hope we always stay friends and I hope I can always recall the memories that made high school so great, which more often than not, included both of these ladies.
